Fantasy Footballers Thoughts on WR1 Sleepers

As the fantasy football season quickly approaches, fantasy owners are doing their homework to find any possible advantage they can. Each year there are players that move up in the rankings. In the wide receiver category, Martavis Bryant is one of a number of players who has the ability to make a jump into the WR 1 category.

Currently Bryant is outside the top 15 wide receivers in the fantasy footballers rankings. Bryant has been a player full of potential but a variety of reasons have kept him from having the breakout many have predicted. Bryant showed flashes of greatness during his early games in 2014. Injuries and suspensions for substance abuse have prevented him from having the expected breakout. Bryant is someone to keep an eye on however. If he can find a way to stay on the field, his tall frame, along with Ben Roethlisberger makes him a great contender to make the jump to a WR1.

End Citizens United PAC Getting Set for 2018 Midterms

The End Citizens United political action committee is off to a strong start in fundraising for the 2018 midterm elections. The group, which focuses on electing Democratic candidates to Congress who are in favor of campaign finance reform, raised $4 million in the first 3 months of 2017. The PAC expects to raise $35 million by the end of the year, both figures outperforming fundraising in 2016. The 100,000 people who have already donated in 2017 “feel like the system is rigged against them, where those who can write the biggest checks get the biggest say,” said Tiffany Muller, the PAC’s President and Executive Director.

End Citizens United was founded in 2015 in reaction to the 2010 Supreme Court ruling in Citizens United vs FEC. In a 5-4 vote the court found that, “political spending is a form of protected speech under the First Amendment, and the government may not keep corporations or unions from spending money to support or denounce individual candidates in elections.” Arguing that this ruling “rigs our system” and puts corporations above citizens, End Citizens United hopes to overturn this decision by electing lawmakers who will combat “big money” in politics.

The grassroots campaign focuses on electing Democrats running for Congress who are in favor of reform. John Ossoff, the Democrat who ran in Georgia’s special congressional election, received $500,000 in donations from members of the PAC. Despite Ossoff’s loss in the election, the PAC proved able to mobilize their members for pro-reform candidates. While the PAC acknowledges that there are Republican and Independent candidates who also agree with them on campaign finance reform, the challenge remains that the Republican leadership in Congress is unwilling to move on the issue. Electing Democrats passionate about campaign finance reform is the most effective way to remove money from politics.

This is not where their work ends, though. End Citizens United was active in the fight against the nomination of Betsy DeVos as Secretary of Education as well. The PAC advised Republican senators whose campaigns received money from the DeVos family to remove themselves from voting on her nomination. DeVos and her family have reportedly given millions of dollars to over 20 current Republican Senators.

As End Citizens United and other groups lay in the wake of a surprising 2016 election, the PAC continues to work toward their goal of electing pro-reform Democrats to Congress. In Early July they announced a new round of endorsements for the 2018 elections, voicing their support for over 20 sitting Congressmen and Senators. The PAC will connect their 3 million members to political campaigns to ensure the reelection of their “proven-champions of reform,” as well as Democrats challenging Republican incumbents.

A Brief Bio of Nabors Industries’ CEO Tony Petrello

Tony Petrello is the Chief Executive Officer, President and Chairman of the Board at oil equipment giant Nabors Industries. He has served in a multitude of roles since joining the company in 1991 when he first joined the board of directors. Along with the titles he holds, he also works in a strategic role where he helps guide Nabors Industries’ future success and innovation within the industry.

A large part of Petrello’s push has been toward technology and innovation. He is a leader that knows the importance of integrating new and adaptive technology into the oil equipment industry as well as making sure Nabors has a fleet of people well trained on that technology that can execute it on site.

Petrello’s worth is well known by Nabors, as his total compensation last year was around 15.2 million dollars. This included 1.57 million in salary, 1.49 million as a bonus and the rest came from a portfolio of stock options awarded to Petrello. He also is a director for another oil based company Steward & Stephenson.

Outside of his role with Nabors and other business leadership roles, Petrello is highly focused on neurological research for children. He and his wife Cynthia have a young girl named Carena who was born with a neurological disease that left her highly impaired. The couple knew that with all of their success, this was the cause they could focus on and give back to in order to help make a difference. The two focus heavily on providing support, both financially and with their time, to Texas Children’s Hospital’s Center for Neurological Research. They have committed $7 million in donations and also lead fundraising efforts from other sources. Their goal is to bring neurological research initiatives that are the first of their kind right into their backyard in Texas. Click here to know more.

Whitney Wolfe – Bumble and Beyond

I introduce you to Bumble, which you’re likely unfamiliar with. If not, then I applaud you; if so, then we have more to discuss. Many dating apps add filters to their settings to keep unwanted users trapped inside. They attempt to reduce such blocking to no more than a size of 25 to 35 profiles.

The Bumble BFF, for example, ranks as the top seller this year. The Tinder app follows swiftly. These are the top three dating apps: Tinder, Christian Mingle and Bumble.

Who makes the best apps for meeting and dating? Whitney Wolfe does, of course. She made Bumble BFF and Tinder.

If a product is a synthetic messaging filter, such information should be stated on the label or product box description. If unsure, you may always ask an app store specialist or representative in the store, and they will most likely point you in the right direction and provide proper guidance. The right size and fit of dating app profiles is the next essential, for if you choose one that is not a proper fit or the best fit, then you may also suffer. All profiles tend to look exactly alike from the outside.

Listed Items: These Wolfe Dating Apps are Cost Effective
